Welcome to my website.  I've been lucky to have worked with nature all of my life.  I've studied grasslands, arable crops, sand dunes, moorlands and ancient woodlands.  I've been an advocate for nature, in the corridors of power in Whitehall and Brussels.  I've played leadership roles in the most important landscapes in the country, national parks.

Today, I write for The Times, in other publications and on this website.  I advise a variety of organisations and am a Trustee of the Heritage Lottery Fund.

If you'd like to know more about my writing click here  and here to get to my Times columns.  Click here to go to my Blogs and click here if you'd like me to speak to your organisation, society or company.
